FAQ

We provide treatment for many psychiatric conditions including anxiety, irritability, difficulty concentrating, sleep problems, poor stress tolerance, depression, trauma-related syndromes and attentional issues. However, our current model may not be best suited for severe or acute illness including active or chronic psychosis, acute mania, severe mood instability or behavioral deregulation, and chronic suicidality. If after screening or initial assessment, we find that our practice may not be the best fit for your needs, you will not be charged for these services.

We offer in-person appointments and services, though most appointments are conducted over Telehealth. Recent regulatory changes by the DEA require one in-person appointment for individuals prescribed controlled/scheduled medications.

We are NOT an acute care or emergency facility and are not staffed 24hr/day. We do not offer emergency or after-hours coverage.

If you are or believe you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, including suicidal or homicidal thinking, serious side effects to medication, or any other urgent or time-sensitive matte, call 911 or go to your closest emergency room. Please note, legislative changes require at least one in-office visit to prescribe controlled substances.

April has hands down exceeded my expectations. She’s been nothing but empathetic/understanding, knowledgeable, kind, non-judgemental, resourceful, and just on top of it with responses and scheduling. Not exaggerating, I’m truly grateful to be her patient.

Every after session, I feel like a huge chunk of my burdens are taken away. Dr. Mortimer is really amazing and warm.

I am so grateful to have found April when I did. I receive perspective & support that I’m learning to believe I deserve with her help.

My daughter and I weren’t sure what to expect. As soon as we met Natalya Mortimer we both felt at ease and excited that she was on our team and would help navigate us through this time. Natalya listened, showed compassion and had a plan for us. I’d highly recommend Natalya and I’m so thankful we found this amazing human!
