QbCheck ADHD Testing Q&A

What is QbCheck?

QbCheck is a computer-based test that combines attention and activity measurements to provide a comprehensive profile of ADHD symptoms. It is designed for individuals aged 6 and up and can be administered in-office or remotely via telehealth.

This tool helps clinicians make more informed decisions by adding objective data to the diagnostic process, reducing bias and improving accuracy.

What Does the QbCheck Evaluation Involve?

  • Computerized Test: A 15–20 minute task measuring attention, impulse control, and motor activity.
  • Immediate Results: Clinicians receive a detailed report comparing the individual’s performance to age- and gender-matched norms.
  • Integrated Care: Results are reviewed alongside clinical interviews and other assessments to guide diagnosis and treatment planning.

Who Benefits from QbCheck?

QbCheck is ideal for:

  • Children, teens, and adults with suspected ADHD
  • Individuals seeking a second opinion or clearer diagnostic insight
  • Patients already in treatment who need progress monitoring
  • Parents and caregivers looking for objective data to support school accommodations

Why Choose Head Well for QbCheck?

Our team, led by April Dvorak, PMHNP-BC, integrates QbCheck into a broader psychiatric evaluation process that considers your unique history, strengths, and challenges. We believe in holistic, personalized care—and QbCheck helps us deliver just that.

What to Expect: Testing Process

  1. Initial Evaluation:
During your first appointment, your provider will review your history and symptoms. If QbCheck testing is recommended, our administrative team will verify your insurance benefits and determine if prior authorization is required.
  2. Insurance Verification and Cost:
Coverage for QbCheck varies widely by payer and plan. Our staff will contact your insurer to confirm eligibility and discuss any out-of-pocket costs with you before testing. If insurance does not cover the service, you may elect to proceed at a discounted self-pay rate of $450, which includes interpretation.
  3. Test Administration:
    • Remote Testing: QbCheck can be completed at home using a compatible desktop or laptop computer with a built-in webcam.
Smartphones, tablets, Chromebooks, and Surface devices are not supported.
    • In-Office Testing: On-site testing is also available for an additional administration fee.
  1. After the Test:
Once complete, your results are automatically sent to your provider for interpretation.
A QbCheck Interpretation Visit will be scheduled to review your results, discuss findings, and provide a written report. Recommendations may include follow-up evaluation or treatment adjustments.
