Shanna‘s extensive clinical experience is rooted in high-acuity environments. Prior to specializing in psychiatry, she worked as an Emergency Room Nurse, developing critical skills in de-escalating patients in acute mental health crises and advocating for appropriate treatment. This experience was further enhanced as a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE), where she provided compassionate care, forensic expertise, and crucial psychological support to individuals navigating traumatic moments.
Shanna holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Chamberlain University. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree from St. Joseph’s University, specializing as a PMHNP.
As a PMHNP, Shanna has gained valuable experience across the care continuum, including outpatient private clinic practice. She specializes in comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, differential diagnosis, and advanced psychopharmacology for a wide range of conditions, including Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Anxiety Spectrum Disorders, PTSD, and complex trauma.
